The project ‘CHOOSE YOUR TASTE, SWEET OR SWEET, ONLY FROM EUROPE’ and the Italian Foodblogger Association (AIFB) have partnered to realise a series of events aimed at members. During the three years of the project, activities will be organised, online and offline, that will allow members of the association to be fully involved in the perception of the quality and use of the iconic cheese.
The AIFB, founded in 2013, is now made up of no less than 140 members, boasts more than 10.4k followers on FB – 2.7k followers on IG and has more than 10,300 visits per month to its website.
The first of these events was held on 20 January at 6.30 p.m., a live streaming webinar/tasting attended by a selected group of AIFB members (50 expert food bloggers), aimed at promoting and raising awareness of Provolone Valpadana PDO.
The 50 bloggers received from the Consorzio di Tutela a box containing some gadgets of the project (an information folder on the products, the publication “Il mondo dentro un assaggio” produced by the Consorzio, an apron, a kitchen towel and 2 product tastings: 1 sweet Provolone Valpadana PDO and 1 Provolone Valpadana PDO in the spicy version).
The webinar was moderated by Dr. Anna Maria Pellegrino (cook, master chef, food writer, lecturer in Gastrosofia, History and Evolution of Cuisine, Academician of Italian Cuisine as well as founding president of AIFB and councillor of APCI, Associazione Professionale Cuochi Italiani, the Professional Association of Italian Chefs) and speakers included the Director of the Consorzio Tutela Provolone Valpadana and expert Vincenzo Bozzetti, who led the guided tasting of the product.
